The Lighthouse Guest house
A sweet annexure to our House Lighthouse project, this compact space was thoughtfully conceived as a flexible extension of family living. Designed to comfortably absorb the overflow of visiting friends and relatives, the addition features a generous bunk room that sleeps six, as well as a self-contained annex that can be closed off entirely and used as an independent guest house.
Within the annex, the main room was cleverly subdivided using bespoke plywood joinery, creating a gentle rhythm that defines each zone without compromising openness. Sleep, eat, cook, work - each function has its own moment, seamlessly integrated within a single, multifunctional envelope. Warm natural textures and relaxed coastal tones continue the Lighthouse aesthetic, ensuring the entire space feels effortless, practical, and deeply welcoming.
